The site is set on a stretch of the Emerald Coast, a ten minute walk from the coastal town of St Cast. The resort offers many restaurants and bars, with a few shops to roam around. A steep path and steps from site lead 300 yards down to Plage de la Pissotte which is ideal for swimming and rock pooling.

The Cap Frehel lighthouse is a magnet for children and the walk from St Cast should only take a few hours. A visit to St Malo, and its Grand Aquarium to watch the sharks’ meal times, provides an interesting day out. The Zoo de la Bourbansais at Pleugueneuc outside Dinan (19mls) is home to some wonderful rare animals.
