Originally an old stone byre, Seaview Studio has been transformed by the owners to provide attractive, modern accommodation in a lovely setting. The bed sitting room on the first floor has a large Cathedral window giving a sense of space and light and the views across Udale Bay and the Cromarty Firth to the hills beyond are wonderful. The pretty cottage garden is a real bonus, with lawned area, borders and shrubs. A little patio table and chairs provide an ideal spot for morning coffee or a glass of wine as the sun goes down over the bay. The area is renowned for bird watching, with the RSPB nature reserve right on the doorstep where a spectacular array of bird life can be spotted at all times of the year. There are some lovely walks direct from the cottage and being so close to the water it is ideal for water sport's enthusiasts. The owners have made available a gated drive at the end of the lane for a small trailer, suitable for a dinghy or canoe, which is just 25 metres from the waters edge and adjoining the cottage. The area around the Moray Firth is famous for its resident Bottle nosed dolphins that are regularly seen in the area and boat trips to view the dolphins, seals and vast array of seabirds close to hand are available nearby. The pretty coastal towns and fishing villages dotted around the Black Isle is truly charming, with small harbours, pretty cottages and lovely beaches. The historic town of Cromarty is particularly attractive with its winding streets, fascinating court house museum and lovely walks along the water's edge. It also boasts an excellent selection of restaurants, pubs, cafes and unusual small shops. There is also a small ferry that runs across the Cromarty Firth to Nigg on the far side from June to October. There is a wealth of activities right on the doorstep, including golf, fishing, horse riding, hill walking, sailing, canoeing and cycling. Seaview Studio is a perfect base for a couple or single's break away and ideally placed for exploring the whole of the Highland region yet only 20 minutes from Inverness, the Highland capital city. Property has electric storage and panel heaters. [More about a holiday lodge at Seaview Studio...]
