Clarys-Plage is less than two miles away from the popular resort of St Jean-de-Monts with its magnificent beaches, excellent shops, market and restaurants. There is a supermarket and several bars just a 200m walk from site, while a short stroll leads you to the sandy Merlin Plage, which is perfect for swimming and for watersports, including pedalos and jet-skis.
Children will have a great day out at the Atlantic Toboggan water-park, which boasts several huge water slides and a picnic area. Cycling is the perfect way to explore the flat countryside, take a short drive up the coast to the isle of Noirmoutier (24mls), from where you can hire a bike and cycle right round the island.
