A tourist train runs throughout the day between the site and Argelès Ville, port and beach.
The Laboratoire Arago Aquarium in Banyuls-sur-Mer (6mls) is one of the oldest in France and exhibits rare fish donated by local fishermen. Explore the lighthouse at Cap Bear, the last lighthouse before the Spanish border - the views from the top are stunning.
