The local area around Bonne Anse Plage & Aquitaine
Bonne Anse Plage is located a mile from the popular resort of La Palmyre. Here you will find an excellent choice of bars and restaurants and the popular zoo. The site is a 600m walk (10 mins) around the bay to the sandy beach at La Palmyre. The beach is gently shelving and ideal for young families. The large town of Royan is a 10 mile drive away.
The zoo at La Palmyre is a must see. There are over 1,500 animals housed here in their natural habitat. The aquarium in La Rochelle (53mls) is a popular day trip for families. Children of all ages will enjoy a boat trip from Royan to La Tremblade or Fouras.
