Having used this site previously and our 12 year old daughter having a canoe slalom competition not far we decided to book this site for the weekend. We arrived around 630pm Friday evening and I went into reception to pay, I was confronted by an incredibly rude woman who said we had canoes on the roof and couldn't stay, we should have told them we had canoes when we booked. However NO WHERE on their website, uk campsites or camping and caravaning site did it state no campsites. Left feeling rather bemused and gobsmacked we were promptly told to leave, with no offer of help or advise on were we could go for the night with our caravan. So we were turned away with 2 young children in the cold wet evening with nowhere to go, and been visitors to the area had no idea of what we could do. An absolute disgrace
