A cosy lodge set on a small, quiet park, surrounded by woodland and mountain views. Local shops, together with a number of pubs and takeaways, are within walking distance of the park. There are numerous towns, country parks and mountain/waterfall walks within an hours drive, providing something for everyone. We were really surprised by the 'extra touches' in the lodge - a lit Christmas tree, box of chocolates, 2 small bottles of wine, tea/coffee and toilet rolls. 24 hour central heating throughout kept the lodge lovely and warm, despite the snow outside. Although the electricity in the lodge was via coin meter, this was very efficient and cost a lot less than we had expected.

Lovely site, tidy and clean. Wooland all around you, town is a 5 minute stroll. Will go back again.

We enjoyed a great weekend break in our log cabin. I would highly reccommend these comfortable lodges to anyone. The surrounding area is great for all outdoor activities, if only you could rely on the weather!

A comfortable lodge, a lovely and peaceful location and an ideal base for exploring Gower and the Brecon Beacons. I would definitely go back again and would recommend it to others.

The site is perfectly located and within easy walking distance of local village and places to eat. The log cabin is cosy and warm and very clean. The hot tub is a luxury at the end of each busy day walking in the beautiful surrounding areas.

The holiday was perfectly located, perfectly clean and an overall fantastic relaxing break which I will be booking again.

I would recommend our visit to Heronstone lodges as the booking was very quick and easy. The site was lovely and in a perfect location. Will definitely book again

I would recomend this holiday to anybody, families or couples, both would enjoy. You couldn't improve it, the holiday accommodation and location were perfect and we will definitely be going back!

We had a fantastic week. Even though the park was on the edge of the village you would think you were in the middle of nowhere - so peaceful and quiet, just what we wanted to escape the rat race for the week. We were made welcome and in our cabin we found a small bottle of wine and chocolates - a very nice geture. We want to return later on in the year and hope we can get a cabin for the week with a hot tub as we couldn't get a booking this time. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday, and for anyone that wants to get away from it all, this is the place to be!

Very good value for money. Good base for exploring the area, coast, city and countryside. We appreciate the simplicity of the site. Not everyone wants swimming pools and discos.

The weekend we had was glorious sunshine and I wish we had booked the lodge with the jacuzzi. I would recommend this holiday. There were lovely walks and plenty of peace and quiet.

The site is very secluded,nice and quiet, handy for the village & the location is second to none, ie. The Beacons, Swansea, Cardiff & plenty of local walks so the car can stay on site all the time of your stay if you wish. We loved it.

We found this holiday experience absolutely flawless! We can't wait to get back there for a longer break next time. Ideal location for a very relaxing break combined with a great base for exploring plenty in South Wales. Highly recommended!

I would definitely recommend this holiday, we all had a great time, there was plenty of things to do and places to visit. The hot tub was a great end to the day.

This was a superb holiday! We took our two young children and we all had a completely relaxing and stress free holiday. All the park staff especially Steve were very accommodating and helpful. The weather was perfect and we had glorious sunshine all week enabling us to enjoy spending a lot of time outside. We would definitely return and recommend to friends and family - 10 out of 10!!

We loved the log cabin experience, it's the first time we have had this type of holiday, and thought it was great. We had lovely modern, spacious warm and cosy accommodation. We will definitely be booking for next year, really good value for money. Really beautiful location in the Brecon Beacons,Wales. The park owner Steve was really kind and helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Our children loved playing in the park with the other kids, made loads of friends ! Relaxing for the adults and safe and fun for the kids ! Just like the holidays we used to have when we were kids, having good old fashioned fun!

For a quiet relaxing holiday Heronstone is ideal. This is our third year and we will be back again next year - no better praise than that!

Very good location for a variety of walks and attractive countryside including waterfalls, caves, castles and hills, also a great spot for wildlife. Also near enough to major cities and seaside resorts. Accommodation clean and tidy, hot tub a must.

We wanted a quiet holiday and Heronstone Lodge was very peaceful, the accommodation was good but we both really enjoyed the hot tub. This is the ideal place if you want to get away from it all and just relax. Will be going again.

Good location for nearby walks on the coast or in the hills. Lodge was set in woodland in a nice peaceful location.

The hot tube was wonderful! We all(2 adults and 2 children) really enjoyed it!

The perfect little get away in the Brecon Beacons.

Perfect holiday if you like a peaceful and quiet location with a touch of wildlife i.e. robins, squirrel etc. Friendly people in the town and nothing was to much trouble for the site manager Steve. Beautiful places to visit nearby includes caves, waterfalls, steam train through the valley amongst the best places to visit.

What a great place to go for a wonderfull relaxing holiday,to wake to the sound of birdsong rather than traffic noise was great,secluded but not out in the wilds,with plenty to do in the surrounding area, perfect.

For anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing holiday it is just the place, and the hot tub was an added luxury which was used every day, even in October!

Had a fantastic time here, activities to do whatever the weather! Rural setting but still local to shops for convenience. Kids loved the Wales Ape and Monkey sanctuary only 10 mins by car from lodge. Wales showcaves only short drive away too. Lodge was beautiful, hot tub was great too, lovely to relax in at night time.

Very good value for money and a good location for covering South Wales.

This park is a little gem - it is very peaceful and relaxing.

It was a lovely site, perfect for a romantic get away. Local shops, pubs and take aways only a short walk away. Swansea town 15 miles away and Brecon town 26 miles the other way. There is a waterfall just up the road, which was lovely but a bit of a climb to get to. Will definitely book there again but will book the cabin with the hot tub.

The log cabin was so welcoming with amazing scenery all around. The hot tub was a pleasure especially after the amazing days looking at all the waterfalls and the breathtaking walks.

We all really enjoyed our stay at Heronstone Lodges. The lodge was clean, tidy and well equipped. There were five in our party including, a 7 month old, so we were pleased with the space and security of the site. A great holiday all round.

We had an excellent time, the weather was great, it was relaxing and we would definitely recommend the place.

We had a fantastic time and the holiday was exactly as described, very quiet and peaceful. We tried the local takeaway which was nice and the local pub. You aren't very far from Swansea and Cardiff so shopping was easy. Would recommend and definitely go back on our next anniversary!!

Heronstone Lodges are perfect for a quiet holiday. We went in November and the central heated lodge was ideal for a late holiday, lovely and warm and clean, everything we needed was at hand. Loads of useful information about the area and attractions, proved to be a good base for touring a wonderful area. We would not hesitate to recommend this site.

On arrival to this idyllic little log cabin site you get greeted by a farm track and a beautiful farm house. As you drive around the corner up a hill into this small site it really does take your breath away. We had a large log cabin with a secluded area + hot tub (which was freshly cleaned when we got there and checked on every day 1st thing in the morning) and because we spoilt ourselves with this option 1st time I don't think we would ever book anything else as it really was the most splendid log cabin I have ever experienced. Clean, modern, comfy bed, great kitchen, just everything was absolutely spot on. And to make things better there's a Tesco about 10 min drive away or a Co-op only a 5 min drive away. 10/10 for everything in my opinion.

The accommodation far exceeded our expectations, generally clean, all the essential items provided, tidy well maintained site, quiet and brilliant location to access local sites of interest.

A quiet, relaxing atmosphere. An ideal location for bird watchers, we spotted 58 species on the site and in the surrounding area.

It was peaceful, relaxing and the lodge was so comfortable and clean. The setting was beautiful and well kept. Loads of information supplied for places to visit, made really welcome and the hottub is great to relax in. I recommend this holiday to others and family as you can see the lodges have been well looked after and the area is lovely. They obviously put a lot of good work at these lodges and it shows.

Heronstone is a lovely site, sheltered and tranquil. The lodge was well equipped, really cosy, and staff on hand friendly and helpful when we arrived and left.

A perfect holiday to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet within a beautiful/tranquil environment. Great area for walking - the waterfalls were magical. The hot tub was luxurious and the staff very friendly. We look forward to coming again.

This was one of the best sites that we have stayed on. We were made to feel very welcome from the start there was even chocolates and wine. The site was great and in a lovely location.

Heronstone was a little bit of Welsh heaven.

It was a great holiday. The lodges were around a green where the children could play safely (play area there), and no other traffic came in. It was also within walking distance of Ystradgynlais with pubs and takeaways. A very easy to drive to the Brecon Beacons if you like walking. The kids had a huge amount of freedom and were out nearly all the time, and you could keep an eye on them from a covered verandah. A very relaxing holiday.

I would, in fact I already have, recommended the park we stayed in to friends, in fact we are planning to take a short break there with them later in the year! I'm recommending this park to anyone due to its great positioning within the Brecon Beacons, its secluded nature, the beautiful views from our lodge, the cleanliness and high spec of the lodge we stayed in and, of course, the amazing private hot tub!! Not to mention the caretaker of the park being extremely helpful and friendly. Holiday was worth every penny and more.

The lodge was comfortable and furnished to a high standard, the hot tub was just perfect at the end of the day or the beginning, we couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. Heronstone Lodges are perfect as a base for walking and exploring or just relaxing. I can definitely recommend Heronstone Lodges and I think the fact that I arrived home today and have already checked out future availability speaks volumes.

The accommodation was of a very good standard and the private garden was a definite bonus for families with young children. A good location for local amenities, yet picturesque and peaceful.

What a great place for a relaxing break away from it all. The hot-tubs are an amazing way to unwind while you listen to the abundance of birds singing under the wooden gazebo. We'd definately like to return, maybe with the children?!

Ideal holiday location for a relaxing break, close to some lovely surroundings and trips out, the hot tub facilities are out of this world, I have bad circulation in my legs at times and I found that the different jets within the tub really helped this .... it's something that you must try :) The only downside was that there were not many places offering bar meals within walking distance, the only places to eat are locally were take-outs, maybe it was because we booked during off peak season.

A very quiet setting, the hot tub was brilliant and it is a lovely area for scenery.

Superb scenery, great walks, the accommodation was first class and Steve was more than helpful, would recommend to anyone.

It was a very relaxing stay. We enjoyed the use of the hot tub. Although the lodges were in close proximity to one another, the only external sounds that will remain in our memory were that of bird song. Incredibly peaceful.

Lovely log cabin set in a small park (approx 12 log cabins) The park was well maintained and very clean. The hot tub in the cabin was lovely to relax in!! Will definitely recommend to friends and will use ourselves again.

Excellent holiday accommodation. The hot tub was used everyday, rain or shine and the manager (Steve?) was always around cleaning and checking on the accommodation which made you feel valued and looked after. We will definitely be going back to this site. Thanks for a great holiday!

The site is a sweet little park and a great place for all local visitor areas. Owner was extremely nice and helpful. Visitor book was very informative. Cabin was lovely, clean and tidy.
