Fantastic specification in the Viking Deluxe, a true home from home, it was spotless. The site is in a lovely location and the staff were very helpful. The DVD player wasn't working in our caravan, we reported it and they went out and bought a new one promptly.

Very good for families, we had a 1 year old with us and was the first time we had taken him away. The caravan was lovely, spacious and clean and the site was quiet and clean. We were close to Hornsea and went there twice, but the sea is right by the site and there is a pool with play area there too. I would recommend this holiday to others with small children.

This holiday was great for people with little kids, as the park had quite a lot of free activities for use that you would normaly have to pay for elswhere. it is a lovely site and not too big or comercialised like some are, and its right on the beach, i actually have recomended it to a friend. the staff were lovely and very welcoming to, i had a lovely holiday, and the caravan was beautifull.

It is a friendly park for a family holiday - the leisure facilities are good and you are just one minute to the beach from the front of the park. I could not improve my holiday as it was just as I wanted it.

Fantastic setting out in the country and well away from all the hustle and bustle. Very clean site with enough facilities to keep everybody occupied but this park is more about its rural setting and beautiful surroundings and should remain loyal to its roots. A long stretch of beach that does not become over populated, even during peak season, is just a couple of minutes stroll away. The evening entertainment is top drawer and gets everybody involved, from the kids disco to the adult entertainment later in the night.

The park wasn't too noisy, we had a sea view from our caravan and the sandy beach was right next to the holiday park. The caravan we were given was lovely and modern and spotlessly clean when we arrived.

We stayed in a Viking Deluxe for the 2nd time. The accommodation was even better than last year with the caravan being only 3 months old and extremely luxurious. The staff were extremely helpful and the whole experience was superb. We will be booking again.

A perfect mixture of seaside and countryside, away from the main resorts, but near enough if we wanted to go out. Accommodation was fantastic quality, cleanliness was of an excellent standard. And we had a view of the sea from our caravan!

We had a fantastic holiday at Sand-le-mere. We have been to the site previously in a friends caravan so we knew what the facilities available were. We have always used Haven Holidays in the past, however we will not be using them again. We were so impressed with the cleanliness and standard of the holiday home, we stayed in a 2 bed Viking caravan due to us taking our two dog on holiday with us. The little extras that were provided really added the personal touch. The extras included beds being made - toilet rolls - and a dish cloth, little things I know but they made us want to book with Hoseasons again. It was a great help to us having a veranda on the caravan so that we could have the caravan doors open and know that the dogs were safe. It was also useful to have the bench sets outside the caravan so we could eat outside, lucky for us it was nice weather when we stayed. Sand-le-mere is a credit to the owners Mr and Mrs Ellis and we will definitely be booking again. We could not fault the park or the accommodation.

I would definitely recommend this holiday to others, great entertainment, caravans were excellent and very clean and spacious and easily accommodated our party of 8.
We also went down the road on Sunday and went to a nearby village and had Sunday dinner. The small shop on-site was sufficient for our long weekend stay and supplied what we needed. Overall we had a great experience at Sand Le Mere. We will be returning.

This was the best holiday break we have had for cleanliness, facilities and friendly people. The location is right on the bank of the river Tees, the setting was wonderful and a 10 minute walk along the riverside brought us to Barnard Castle and shopping facilities. A wonderful break and we are certainly going again!

The site is fantastic for families or if you want to get away alone or as a couple. You need a car as the nearest town/village is quite far away. The accommodation is fantastic value for money and the fact that there was digital TV and WIFI meant that I didn't need to leave my caravan! Loved it! :)

Although we were told that check in time was 3pm, we actually managed to get into our caravan at 1.45pm - very impressed. The beach is lovely although the less able bodied would find it difficult to access.

It is an emaculate well laid out caravan site with everything to hand, I was even considering buying a static caravan to live in down there. It was a the best caravan and holiday we have had with Hoseasons.

Sand-Le-Mere is an excellant park with plenty to keep us entertained and it has very helpful staff. The entertainment in the Mermaid Bar and other bars was also really good.

This is a traditional caravanning holiday with plenty for the children to do. You don't really need to leave the site as it is next to the beach and has everyting you need. The shop was not open for long though so you need to get supplies in. The location is good and not far from Hornsea and Freeport, Skipsea and Bridlington half an hour away. The journey to brid is nice with all the little villages to pass through. We also had a trip into Hedon which is a quaint little village with a few shops and a nice little tea room called Nutmegs. There is also Fort Paull in nearby Paull. The site itself is great and we would definitely go again. Our caravan was brand new and really comfortable we were very impressed.

This was an fantastic experience for a family holiday. In spite of the peak time, the prices were quite reasonable and great value for money. The facilities at the park were no less to any so called five star park, specially like direct access to beach fishing lake, nice walking areas, farm surroundings etc. Overall, highly recommended.

The park was very clean and looked beautiful when we arrived - full of blooming flowers and trees. The caravan itself was fabulous and the park was very peaceful and ideal for us. We are a young couple and this park was ideal for us but it would also be perfect for families.

First impressions are not always right as we found out to our delight at this site, once we settled in it was great, the entertainment mon-fri was for the children which was brilliant, the prices in the bar was very reasonable, there was plenty to keep entertained, the staff were very pleasant and the location was right next to the beach, so overall the holiday was excellent and we are definitely considering going back again next year or in October this year for a short break.

Sand-le-Mere is a family focussed park. The accommodation is clean and very good value for money. The staff are friendly and helpful and the whole atmosphere of the park is pleasant and relaxing. I would recommend the outside pool which is a constant 27 degrees and the heated jacuzzi. If that's not enough there is a steam room all in with the price. Will go again. Look out for the new complex, the plans look amazing and will definitely put Sand-le-Mere at the premier position of holiday parks on the East coast...

Our first visit to this site and what a great experience. We took our four grandchildren age 3-10 yrs and they thoroughly enjoyed it. The entertainment was good, the play areas for children were good and the Mermaid club was very good with very reasonable prices.

Excellent away from it all holiday in the early and late season, would be an ideal base for a family holiday in peak season with excellent on site facilities. The scenery at this location is second to now with lovely clifftop or countryside walks.

This holiday park was by far the best we've visited. It was clean, well equipped and the staff were very friendly. There is very little in the surrounding area but we found we didn't need it. The beach was beautiful and serene, and with all the facilities on the park, we had a pleasant break.

The caravan was well furnished, clean and spacious, the views over the fields were beautiful and we had a lovely quiet week, relaxing and visiting the local towns. The staff were helpful and sociable. The facilities in the caravan were excellent, lots of storage space, a lovely shower, the heating in the bedrooms was a brilliant addition and the beds were comfortable to sleep in.

The caravan was lovely could not have asked for more nice and clean. We experienced a noisy first night music playing and people shouting. I complained at reception and it was then solved. The weather was scorching hot which made it even better as we could have the caravan door open. There was a veranda which made this a lot better as we have two dogs. Was not really expecting how nice everything was as we got the holiday really cheap. Would return through hoseasons as my husband and son enjoy the fishing. The dogs loved the beach and the weather was fantastic.
