Les Tournels is in a perfect setting on the St Tropez peninsula, a ten minute drive from the picturesque village of Ramatuelle. Here there is a tempting selection of bars and restaurants and a wealth of shops hidden amidst the winding streets, selling locally produced pottery and leather. A 20 minute walk through the vineyards brings you to a beautiful stretch of golden sand that is perfect for topping up the tan or a cooling dip.

Drive to Le Lavandou and catch a hovercraft to the Iles d'Hyčres - a group of tranquil islands with sandy beaches, ideal for exploring by bike. Niagra Parc Nautique (La Môle, 12mls) is a waterpark with plenty to keep everyone happy.
