Ruda is one of the best and cleanest of holiday parks you can encounter in the UK. It is an ideal location for outdoor activities, with excellent walks and some of the best surfing in the country.

The site was lovely and our caravan was well sited. The staff were very helpful and friendly, from the reception to the lifeguards. We have two children, both under 2, and we felt very comfortable in what felt like a child and family friendly environment.

We all loved the Rosemoor lodge - comfort and provision for the price, together with the space and landscaping, and space for little ones to play safely. The visit is likely to be repeated!

The holiday park was brilliant. The staff are friendly and were very helpful. There is so much to do from surfing/body boarding to really beautiful walks up to Baggy Point even with a buggy! The children loved the swimming pool and the beach is sandy so perfect for little ones to make lots of sandcastles. Perfect for all ages. We had a great time and would definitely go again.

I was totally impressed with the cleanliness of our accomodation. My family and I have stayed on various sites and this was by far the best accomodation. I usually need to complain about something or other (usually cleanliness) but this was PERFECT!!

A very clean and friendly holiday park, with a fantastic beach nearby. A quieter resort - perfect for families (and for surfers). The local village also had some very good alternative places to eat and drink only a short walk away, and everywhere seemed to cater for young children.

We have been holidaying at various parks for many years now and all I can say is that Ruda was absolutely the best so far. We booked budget accommodation and was amazed at the caravan we received. The park was spotless, lots to do, close to the beach and just an all round good feel. Our children were safe and had the chance to be independent. Loved it and will be going back July 2012!

Everything is at hand to occupy the whole family with a fabulous choice. Everyone enjoyed themselves and the children wanted to stay on for a few more days. Also the security van touring around the park on regular intervals gives you peace of mind.

The holiday was outstanding value for money. Great facilities and accommodation on the park, a beautiful setting, handy for the beach and the village and there are so many wonderful attractions within a 25 mile radius. I could happily stay at the park as a base for exploring North Devon for a year! My party included 8 people of a wide range of ages and everyone had a thoroughly good time from beginning to end and we didn't want to leave!

Its a great spot for walkers, surfers, and families alike and for commuting from to see North Devon and the surroundings. Beautiful views, and enough on the park to put your feet up and enjoy at the end of an exhuasting day with great entertainment and fun for the kids (even the big ones)!

This is a great family resort. My children loved it, the entertainment was great both my sons loved the Treetops grove gang, they made the kids feel welcome, they even gave out a birthday request one night as it was my son's 5th birthday, he was over the moon he received a personalised birthday card, we then went and bought the plush teds of the gang and now they are his new best bed friends. The atmosphere was great, can't fault any of it, hope to come back again next year.

First impressions was the location of the park...beautiful. Beaches lovely, entertainment good, club and restaurant facilities very good. I would love to go again for longer as we were only there for a long weekend.

This was a site remarkable for its views of the sea and the surroundings. Close to the beach and fabulous walks in all directions along the North - Western Trail around Baggy Point and the National Trust Area. The site is extremely close to Croyde beach with its splendid surfing and sandy beach and is in close proximity to so many other sandy beaches one is spoilt for choice. The site itself was immaculate and cleaned regularly, the swimming pool was excellent for children and the water warm enough to enable them to enjoy it. Evening entertainment was adequate and catered for all tastes. Most importantly we found ALL of the staff to be both friendly and helpful and having visited many camping and caravan sites in the past we have no hesitation in saying this is the best we have ever visited.

Our family had a fantastic holiday at this park, and we wished we were staying for 2 weeks! The park itself has great facilities, but you can easily keep away from things if you want to just relax. Our twp boys 5 and 7, loved the evening entertainment, especially watching Sid and Lizzie! We would all love to go back to Ruda!

There is everything you need in Croyde for all your family, the beach is just around the corner and the club at the park is great, especially for the children. My children loved it so much they cried when they had to come home and that was just after one week! We will next time definitely book for two weeks as we cannot fault the park or the place at all - thanks!

Ruda is a super park - cross the road and you are on the beach, so no need to drive and change into your surf gear at the sidee of the road! Great pool, well stocked supermarket and club facilities if you want to dance the night away!

This was a great place for a family holiday. The beach is a 3 minute walk from the park, and the park has great facilities for the children - an indoor swimming pool and also the area at the top of the park with the obstical course was great fun for all the family!

Ruda is a great park with lots to do and set in a beautiful area, a few steps from the beach and yards away from magnificent coastal views. Perfect for kids and adults and definitely surfers.

This is an excellent site, close to a superb unspoiled, life-guarded beach. There are fantastic cliff walks and views along the coast and towards Lundy Island. The village is only a short walk away and the facilities on site are great. Access is even better now that there is a by-pass around Barnstable!

Extremely close to the beach, & good range of surf stuff to buy or rent in the hire shop. Excellent pool on site, that the kids absolutely loved and as a parent I thought it was very safe with loads of lifeguards on duty and poolside non-slip mats. Good clubs for the kids to go to too - at about the right times of day for each age group.

Although it was high season there was a real sense of space and relaxation. An ideal holiday location for all the family.

Ruda Holiday Park at Croyde Bay in Devon was the best holiday in England we have ever been on. Over the last 6 years we have been to many holiday parks in England with our three children and we can honestly say, Ruda has been the best by far. The accommodation was excellent, the staff were helpful and the facilities were brilliant, along with a beach on the door step, it couldn't have been more perfect. I would not hesitate to recommend this holiday park to my friends, and for the first time ever we will be returning to the same destination next year, but for longer next time!

We last visited Ruda 28 years ago and was impressed with the current site and facilities. Staff were friendly, swimming pool was good, lovely location right on the beach. We stayed in a Clovelly lodge which was lovely and we enjoyed the peace around the lodges in Croye Burrows. We brought our grandaughter with us who had a ball at the disco and loved meeting Syd and Lizzie. We were a four generation family staying in the Lodge but felt that there was something for all of us. We may well return again perhaps in the September.

The troupers were so lovely to my son when he had his fifth birthday, calling him on stage at Starlanders evening and singing to him and giving him a card and present, signed from Sid and Lizzie and the Troupers. A great pool for the children, especially good when it was raining and options are limited.

An excellent location - just a short walk to the beach, which has sand, surf and rock pools. The beach itself is fairly sheltered, making it a lovely location to spend the day. The accommodation itself was clean and in good working order. My very active 2 year old loved every minute of his stay and his parents even managed to relax!

Ruda Holiday Park is fantastic for families with young children. It is minutes from the beach (Croyde), has a playground and soft play area on site which are free, and a well stocked shop. We also enjoyed the swimming pool on site which was reasonably priced. We would definitely recommend it!
