A great little park, ideally located near the Galloway forest and also the sea. Good quality cabins and very clean.

The park was lovely and the accommodation great - the kids thought the cabins were a great idea!
A beautiful setting, on arriving into the park we passed deer in then park, the sloping setting and well spaced out lodges amongst the mature pines was lovely.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful, this is a fantastic place to get away from it all and switch off. The proximity to some fantastic scenery was an added bonus and this part of Scotland delivered in spades. If you are into fishing, biking, walking or just taking in the scenery then this park of Scotland has it all, mountings, lochs, burns, forests and a stunning coast line all with easy reach of this park. We did not want to leave.
The Lady Galloway Lodge was beautiful. Quality fixtures and fittings that all appeared brand new. We received a very warm welcome and the reservation staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. This was our first time booking with Hoseasons but will definitely not be our last - thanks to all involved!

This holiday park was the perfect location for a girls weekend away, perfect for relaxing and catching up away from the rat race. The local salons offering all kinds of treatments and all very friendly. Local pubs had lovely food and gardens and again very, very friendly. This is also a great location for families, lots of parks, walks and exploring to be done. Perfect for a round of golf as well as it is only 5 minute walk!

We found the location of this lodge very convenient for seeing the area. A few minutes drive from a small town with restaurants and cafes as well as supermarkets was ideal. Also very near to good attractions like the Red Deer Park, forest trails and a great drive to the Mull of Galloway.
Recommend to anyone looking to chill out or use as a base to tour the Galloway Forest area.

The place is set in a lovely area close to the town centre. It was a great base for us and a fantastic place to relax and unwind. The cabins themselves where fantastic, they were very spacious and clean and they had a balcony on them with a gate, so we could the door open and not worry about the dogs going anywhere. A beautiful place and I would definitely recommend you to go.

We have just had a great couple of days here. We got a really nice 2 bedroom cabin and it was very nice inside. The area is really nice too, we took our dog and were able to do some of the lovely walks that are a few miles away. Also we walked into Newton Stewart but went on a Wednesday which was the wrong day to go as some shops shut early/half day. I would definitely recommend Conifer Lodges to anyone looking for a lovely, quiet, relaxing getaway for a few days.

This site is the best for a relaxing holiday, the cabins are lovely and stocked well, staff are very unobtrusive, we had cabin 27 which had an enclosed balcony that was ideal for the kids/dog. The Jacuzzi was easy to use and the kids loved it. Getting bathrobes provided was a nice touch as it was cold getting to and from the Jacuzzi in January!

Ideal for a family or couple -can walk into Newton Stewart. Shopping easy with Sainsburys at hand although many people made good use of the takeaways. Walking in the hills was excellent. Can recommend the Red Deer tour with the ranger. Loved the gardens at Castle Kennedy.

The accommodation was very clean and fresh on our arrival.
I would recommended this holiday park to others and would indeed perhaps use it myself again in the future because there was loads to see around this area and the park was centrally situated to visit good surrounding places with young children. My daughter is 7 years of age and she thoroughly enjoyed the Cocoa Bean factory and Mabie Farm Park and we would do this again because as long as she is happy we can enjoy our time too. Our weather was fabulous for April which certainly helps.

The park manager was obliging in every way. The park is kept very tidy. It is very peaceful but not too far from the town. There were many good walks and many interesting sights to be seen. I would definitely return.

An ideal location to explore the South West coast of Scotland and the surrounding countryside. The lodges are very well maintained and cleaned to a very high standard, the park itself is very quiet and peaceful with each lodge set in a landscaped plot with its own car parking space. We plan to return in September!
The Conifer Lodges was a fantastic break for my wife and young boy.
Everything we needed was on hand and sufficient, clean and comfortable, we just had to unpack and that was it. There was tons to do in the area and even on the days when it did rain, and being Scotland it rained, there was tons to do both indoors and outdoors. For a break away from home with great friendly service and loads to see and do this was without doubt one of the best holidays I have experienced in this country and will definitely be using the log cabins again. |
A brilliant location, fantastic views all round and a brilliant place to spend a holiday.

Would recommend this holiday to others because it was amazing, had a ball of a time. Wish it could've been a longer stay, am going to book back up in March again.
The stars at night were like something out a film, have never seen anything like it in my life, was stunning.
Everything about Conifers is great from the manager of the park to the accommodation. The situation of the park is great for sightseeing, walking and biking, as well as lots of other outdoor sports. We have been three times and still have lots of things on our to do list.

Excellent accommodation for value and most enjoyed the hot tub and also BBQ area beside the hot tub.
We had a brilliant holiday at Conifers. The lodges are well spaced out and overlook surrounding countryside. Our hot tub was great and late in the evening good for star gazing. The local area is unspoilt, relatively uncommercialised and uncrowded and there are many stunning sights to be seen; as well as cycle trails for all abilities at the Galloway Forest visitor centre. We would particularly recommend a visit to the nearby Wood of Cree Nature Reserve which has both a waterfall at one side and a tumbling (during our visit roaring) burn at the other side.
Lovely site, well-laid out and very peaceful.
I would highly recommend this holiday if you are looking to relax in peace and quiet with beautiful surroundings. The accommodation was also very clean and staff were very friendly.

We had a fantastic stay at Conifer Lodges. Everything from our warm greeting on arrival, our wonderful lodge and the fabulous setting made our short stay too short. Mark was great as was all the staff and the lodges are in a great location with too much to do to fit into four days. Our two boys, aged 15 and 11 had a great time on this safe and accessible park, please pass on our thanks to all concerned - we will be back this year!
A great park, a great location and the kitchen was really well equipped.
I would definitely recommend the Conifer Lodges. My friend and I stayed for a few days and it was the perfect setting for the relaxing holiday we were in need of! The cabins were lovely and the staff were very helpful as well, suggesting possible excursions. We are hoping to visit again in the New Year. I would also like to mention that we received an unexpected surprise on arrival - an upgrade to a cabin with hot tub, definitely the highlight of the holiday!

The Conifers is a lovely quiet site with easy access to forest walks and mountain bike trails. Great if you want to chill and get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday lfe.
An excellent location, with fantastic access to the Galloway Hills, an ideal retreat for getting away! Close enough to a small town, which offers everything you need, yet far enough away to feel like you are in the middle of no where. We loved it and would definitely return in the future! A quiet, peaceful and well kept park with staff who could not be more helpful, in accommodation which is very clean and homely.
I would recommend this holiday because the lodge was superb and the location is ideally situated to tour the South West area of Scotland. The staff were lovely and the park was excellent - the best Hoseasons park that we have stayed at for a short break.
The park is superbly located for anyone who has a love of scenery, walking, cycling and wildlife/nature interests.
Warm, welcome, an immaculate park, an excellent location and a spotless lodge. Kirroughtree cycle and walking paths through Galloway forrest are 10 minutes away with routes suitable for all. 10 minutes walk from gorgeous Newton Stewart, Cree Bridge Hotel is lovely for meals and Cree cafe has wonderful home made soup. There is a lovely cycle path along River Cree, and horse riding and Galloway Sailing Centre (sailing, archery, outdoor lazer quest)are within 50 minutes drive. I would highly recommend it for a quiet holiday but it is also within easy reach of varied activities.

If you're looking for a quiet relaxing break, excellent accommodation set in lovely peaceful surroundings then Conifer Lodges is the ideal place to go. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. We will return again and will highly recommend this accommodation.
This is a basic site which adds to its appeal. It doesn't have a shop or bar and only a small play area which means it attracts the sort of people who are after a peaceful break in beautiful surroundings. The Ranger's advice on places to visit was excellent
Spent a 4 night weekend at Newton Stewart in the Lady Charlotte lodge. Site was well laid out and had a lovely relaxing time. Spa experience was enjoyed by all that used it. Site was quiet and there was very little intrusion by other persons on site. Newton Stewart is only a 15/20 minute walk. Two large supermarkets for those things needing to be replaced. The Crown Hotel provided good bar food and the bar area shows sporting events on satellite T.V. I would certainly recommend these lodges and surrounding area and hope return in the future.
Would thoroughly recommend for a peaceful holiday and relaxing break.
