In low season, however, the parc has a more tranquil air, making it a popular choice with young families. There are mature trees to provide welcome shade from the hot sun, a supermarket and a restaurant offering high quality cuisine and a take-away is available throughout the season to ensure your every need is catered for.

This gem of a parc is tucked away from all the main attractions, but only a short car journey away you will find Perpignan for some excellent shopping; or walks in the Pyrenees which overlook the small resort of Torreilles where the parc is situated.

This large, family-run parc simply bustles with activities and offers an exceptional range of amenities, including a large and highly appealing tropical pool complex. Unusually, Scuba diving lessons are available in the pool, and we have arranged for our customers to receive the parc’s ‘Club Card’ free of charge in peak season, entitling them to free windsurfing, tennis, mini-golf - and even a free bus service to the beach. Evenings here are often spent in the open air bar, which doubles as the venue for regular late night cabaret and karaoke throughout the season. While beyond the parc, you will enjoy the spectacular Pyrénées that form the dramatic backdrop to the spacious, sandy beaches and the parc itself.

With a lovely pool and individual facilities for every tent pitch, this is a very civilized place to get back to nature. With its quiet, peaceful setting, Le Dauphin is an ideal place to unwind and enjoy a relaxing family holiday. The parc is extremely spacious although not generally grassy, with a limited number of pitches having their own shade, and remarkably, all tent pitches have their own individual shower, washing and toilet facilities. There’s a super swimming complex, Parc Animateur from mid June, supermarket, bar and restaurant, and even a shuttle bus to the beach. But should you crave more excitement, simply jump on the nearby mini-train and experience the sandy beaches, restaurants, activities and nightlife of Argelès. You can also drive to the ‘Château de Peyrepertuse’ in the mountains near to Perpignan and enjoy the great views and surrounding countryside.

Camping le Bois de Valmarie is a small and relaxed campsite, just 100 yards from a beautiful beach, with an amazing pool complex. The terraced emplacements rise up the hillside towards the pool, from where there are outstanding views over the bay of Argelès. Unwind here with a refreshing drink from the snack bar, while the children have hours of fun whizzing down the water chutes in the three lagoon style pools linked by waterfalls. At the bottom of the site, surrounded by colourful flower beds, you will find the superb restaurant. Sample a delicious fresh fish dish from the extensive menu, and after dinner relax on the bar terrace with a refreshing glass of local wine.
