| A large, top quality campsite set in the undulating pine-forest of La Coubre, and close to superb sandy beaches.
This is a popular, family-run campsite with a range of facilities, suitable for families of all ages. Exploring the idyllic pine forest setting by bike is a favourite activity. Children will love the exciting pool complex with three waterchutes. There is a modern terraced restaurant and site staff organise lots of activities during high season including a twice weekly disco. Campsite rules are strictly enforced for the benefit and comfort of all especially in the pool complex. Situated just one mile from La Palmyre and a ten-minute drive from the best beaches.
The resort of La Palmyre has a sheltered beach at high tide as well as shops, restaurants and a world famous zoo, being the boggest in Europe where animals live in a natural setting. Windsurfing and sailing are available at Royan, a modern resort with a sweeping promenade of cafés and shops. Île d’Oléron is linked to the mainland by a bridge.

| A large, lively campsite set in a sandy pine wood glade with a pleasant, friendly atmosphere.
Palmyre Loisirs is very popular with families who enjoy evening entertainment organised on-site. At the centre of the campsite is a bar with a large open-air amphitheatre and a stage where lively evening entertainment is held. The recently developed, tropical-style swimming pool complex, with waterslide, lies in a sunny clearing on the edge of the campsite away from our accommodation. There is a fitness track in the woods. This site is one and a half miles from the resort of La Palmyre with its long sandy beach.
Royan is a lively resort with a promenade lined with cafés and shops. From here you can take a ferry to the vineyards of the Médoc peninsula. For a longer day out, travel south to the vineyards of Bordeaux to taste some of the finest wines in France. The children will enjoy a visit to the Aquarium at La Rochelle.
