| Camping Sylvamar is part of the Yelloh! Village chain of campsites. The excellent facilities, located away from our accommodation, include a lagoon style waterpark complete with waterslides and lazy river, overlooked by the modern restaurant and bar terrace. It is just a fifteen minute walk or cycle to the fine sandy beaches of this area, and watersports facilities are widely available. Whilst there is plenty to do at this well-maintained campsite, the Les Landes forest is perfect for cyclists. Campsite rules are strictly enforced for the benefit and comfort of all guests.
This first class park sits between exclusive Biarritz and Hossegor, close to Spain. Among the superb facilities to enjoy on site is the excellent water park with its fantastic 'river', and this is a wonderful base for surfing boasting some of the best surf in Europe combined with exploring Northern Spain and the Pyrnes.A wild, beautiful region with a coastline loved by surfers, this is a fantastic area for enjoying the outdoor life. Together with lovely walks in the vast stretches of pine forest, there are fantastic opportunities for horse riding and cycling. Many historic Basque towns are worth a visit, including St. Jean-de-Pied-de-Port, with its traditional market, the well known pilgrimage town of Lourdes, Bayonne, and the fabulous views afforded by Pau. Glamorous Biarritz is easily accessible.

La Rive is located on the shores of the Biscarosse lake, four miles from the small town of Biscarosse. Activity centres around the lake, lined by a sandy beach where a large variety of watersports are organised. Facilities are available for mooring customers’ own boats. The whole family will enjoy the range of facilities from playgrounds and archery to the covered pool complex with waterslides, jacuzzi and toddler pools. Enjoy a drink on the outdoor bar terrace where evening entertainment is performed during high season.
Les Landes forest covers a vast area for long country rambles and cycle rides. The wide, open beaches at Biscarosse-Plage with miles of golden sand are a short drive away. South of Arcachon is the highest sand dune in Europe, the Dune du Pilat, commanding superb views.

La Paillotte is ideally located at the heart of the Les Landes forest and on the edge of Lake Soustons. The campsite has been developed to fit in with the attractive pinewood surroundings, and is set in the theme of a French Polynesian village. An ideal choice for active families with an extensive programme of daytime activities, including watersports and aqua aerobics, centred around the lake and a range of evening family entertainment. The pool, featuring a jacuzzi, bar and restaurant are located next to the lake. This site is excellent for teenagers in high season.
The Landes forest offers a diverse range of activities such as cycling and horse riding. Dune du Pilat is the largest sand dune in Europe and offers views of the entire Landes coast. Take a trip to Bayonne, the capital of the Basque country rich in customs and folklore. Visit the Izarra distillery and try the liqueur made from a secret blend of Pyrénéen herbs.

| Nestled in the Basque country, this campsite is ideally located for the surfing beaches of the south west.
Situated beside a small lake, this family-run campsite is four miles from the elegant town of Biarritz. The soaring Pyrénées form a magnificent backdrop to the campsite, which has terraced hillside pitches set amongst oak trees. There is a waterpark with four-lane waterslide, as well as a covered pool across the road in a newer part of the campsite. However, if relaxation is more your style, don’t forget the Balneo, where you can enjoy a massage in the outdoor spa or relax in the jacuzzi complex which is free in low season and available for a small charge during July and August. Traffic and trains can be heard from the site. Three miles away are beaches lapped by Atlantic shores, renowned for excellent surfing.
There are many glorious sandy beaches close by, including those at nearby Biarritz. Sophisticated Biarritz retains its dignified Edwardian elegance. Just ten miles from the Spanish border, visit St-Jean-de-Luz, a charming fishing port in an attractive setting. Throughout the summer the streets come alive with folk festivals. At La Rhune, you can take a funicular train ride into the Pyrénées.

| An ideal choice for a family beach holiday, this large site has a waterpark and three waterchutes.
Close to a magnificent beach and lake, Le Vieux Port is located in a beautiful pine forest and offers an exceptional variety of facilities for all ages. Whilst peaceful in low season, this site becomes lively during the months of July and August with an extensive organised programme of entertainment. Children will enjoy the superb waterpark with covered pool and the adventure play area. Most of our pitches are sandy and benefit from shade. The lakeside resort of Port d’Albret is a short walk away and Messanges is 3 kilometres away.
The vast beach at Messanges is superb, and ideal for surfing enthusiasts. A few miles inland are the huge lakes of Léon and Soustons, which offer an alternative to the coast for a wide range of watersports. Why not try cycling in the vast pine forests or take a short trip into the Basque country and Spain.
