This excellent campsite is regarded as one of the best in the Vendée. It’s just a ten minute walk from the beach and five miles south of St Jean-de-Monts. With modern facilities and sunny pitches, the focal point is the exciting pool complex with covered pool, waterchutes and sun terraces. The site organises evening entertainment throughout the season. There is a supermarket just around the corner, and in high season a choice of restaurants are open nearby. Some of our pitches are across a road from the main campsite facilities.
Visit the delightful village of Apremont with the remains of a Renaissance Castle or relax at the pleasant lakeside beach. Travel along the coast to the pretty resort and fishing village of St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. The popular Atlantic Toboggan Waterpark is also close-by with its waterslides and swimming pools. Cycling is the perfect way to explore the flat countryside nearby.

The family run campsite, a member of the prestigious Castels chain, is only one mile from St Julien-des-Landes and fifteen minutes drive from the beach. The lovely lake behind the château, surrounded by woodland and green meadows, provides an idyllic setting for hiring a pedalo. The château’s estate buildings have been tastefully converted and now house a new bar and restaurant.
For peace and quiet, try the secluded rocky coves along the coast at Sion-sur-l’Océan. The lively resorts of Les Sables d’Olonne, fifteen miles to the south, and St Jean-des-Monts, to the north, are a contrast to the pretty fishing port of St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie. You can visit the lake at Apremont where you can visit the castle ruins, laze on the grassy banks with a picnic and try your hand at windsurfing

| Close to a lovely sandy beach, a lively site with both an indoor pool and superb waterpark.
Surrounded by attractive woodland, the excellent facilities make Les Genêts ideal for a family holiday. Older children will particularly enjoy a holiday at this lively campsite. The focal point is the outstanding waterpark with jacuzzi, waterslides, waterchute and lazy-river as well as spacious sun terraces and a new modern bar just just been added. A short stroll takes you to a beautiful sandy beach or you can explore the woods and dunes along the coast. This site is three quarters of a mile from Merlin Plage, and four miles from St Jean-de-Monts.
The colourful fishing port of St Gilles-Croix-de-Vie, with its large expanse of golden sand at the Grand Plage, is ten minutes away by car. Further south, Les Sables d’Olonne has a variety of stylish shops and restaurants. Take a boat trip to the traffic-free island of Ile d’Yeu, an island of granite cliffs and rocky creeks and the beautiful rocky Côte Sauvage. Its capital is a lively fishing port where you can sample fresh lobster.

The beautiful beach at Plage de la Mine, just four miles from the site, is backed by pine forests and has rock pools that will keep children entertained for hours. You can visit the zoo at Les Sables d’Olonne or the château at Talmont St-Hilaire. Visit the Atlantic Toboggan Waterpark at St Hilaire-de-Riez – children will love the waterchutes and huge slides.

La Forêt is a ten-minute walk from the village of St Julien-des-Landes, with a peaceful, rural setting in the parklands of a château. It has the feel of a country estate and caters for the whole family. There’s plenty of space for the children to play, and two pools set either side of the château. There are three lakes for fishing and attractively converted ivy-clad stables house the bar and all of the main facilities.
This coast is renowned for its fabulous sandy beaches. In the evening, head for Les Sables d’Olonne, half an hour’s drive to the south with promenade, bars and restaurants. The lovely resort of Bretignolles-sur-Mer, eight miles away, is home to Vendée Miniature.

The Vendée is an ideal place to try your hand at watersports or sea fishing. La Tranche-sur-Mer is an attractive holiday resort boasting the longest south-facing beach in the Vendée. Further afield, a trip to the ancient port of La Rochelle, with its narrow streets and fortified harbour is a must. Whilst in La Rochelle visit the fabulous Aquarium or drive over the bridge to the Île de Ré, with a wonderful landscape and famous salt marshes.

| A peaceful, but basic parc, ideally suited to young families and mature couples, with a lovely beach facing famous Fort Boyard. While the island itself can have busy traffic, the parc is located in a quiet area of St. Georges D’Oléron, with good access to the many cyclist-only roads that run around the island. The ‘Plaisance’ beach offers a broad sweep of golden sand and the unusual sight of Fort Boyard close by. Out and about, you are just 1km from the Saumonards forest, and you will find the town itself to be a quaint little place, dedicated to fishing and the oyster industry. Domaine D’Oléron is ideal for those families who intend to visit attractions off parc during their stay, with many beautiful beaches in easy reach. The small bar and takeaway service is situated in a large and picturesque marquee. |

| Perfectly placed for a relaxing seaside holiday. A great favourite with Eurocamp families. This is a really attractive and relaxing parc, which is especially suited to young families thanks to the excellent shade given to most pitches by the tall pines throughout the parc. The nearest beach is pleasant if rocky, but you’ll also find a beautiful sandy beach just a few minutes’ drive away. Within the parc itself, there’s a popular terrace bar which overlooks the lovely L-shaped pool, where evening entertainment takes place in high season. Close by you’ll find the charming little town of Jard, with a wide range of shops, cafés and restaurants lining the winding narrow streets, as well as a small yachting port. Add to all this some day trips to Les Sables d’Olonne, La Rochelle and Luçon and you have all the ingredients for a memorable family holiday. |
