| Domaine de Litteau is a trim two-star parc nestled on the edge of Cerisy Forest close to the picturesque town of Bayeux. The parc is a perfect launch pad for exploring this fantastic region, which can often be overlooked by families who don’t realise that the beaches are huge, the sea is warmer than the Atlantic, and the history is fascinating for all ages. A real catch are the two fishing pools, exclusive to customers at Domaine de Litteau and free to fish. If you can’t carry your equipment, rods start from just €10 in the on-parc shop. Early signs are that sweetcorn is the most popular bait! Domaine de Litteau is part of our newly-acquired range of siblu parcs, which means it's well suited for families who want to make the most of exploring the surrounding area. There are a small number of leisure facilities on parc, including a small pool, a kid's club for 5-12 year olds in July and August, a bar and a takeaway.

Nestling in orchards surrounding the lake and overlooked by the château itself, this is a glorious setting for a family holiday. No wonder then that Le Brevedent is such a perpetual favourite with our customers. It's a well run parc with immaculate facilities where you will receive a very warm welcome from the friendly Anglo-French owner who gives the parc a special feel. And the stunning location in the heart of Calvados Country isn’t the only reason this 'Castels' parc is in demand. It offers every diversion, from excursions to Paris, to a spot of lake fishing. Of course, you are also within easy reach of super beaches, picturesque Norman villages and some quite exquisite countryside, so much to see and do in this much favoured region of France. |

| Les Vikings is a family camp site in Normandy, in Basse Normandie to be precise, the region around the harbour town of Cherbourg. You can camp just 400m from the sea. The beach in this part of the west coast of France is made up of powdery sand. If you prefer, there is always the swimming pool with its terrace and sun loungers at the camp site itself. The level terrain is well looked after, and excellent meals are served in the restaurant and on the terrace. Les Vikings looks after the needs of the children. There is a games room, playground and sports field as an alternative to fun in the water.
You are in an area that is not just interesting for its nature, Normandy has a chequered history. The D-Day troops landed in this area in June 1944 and there are many interesting museum devoted to this. If you want you can even take the ferry from here to Jersey, which is much closer to France than to England. A tourist train will take you to Barneville, but the best way to discover the Normandy landscape is by bike on the cobblestones. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the countryside or cycle to the castles of Bricquebec and La Haye-du-Puits. |
