| Perfect for those who enjoy the outdoors, this site is within easy reach of the popular areas of the Ardèche. A combination of excellent campsite facilities, and a peaceful location, make this site an excellent choice for an active family holiday. Just three miles from St Alban, the whole family will appreciate the waterpark with covered pool, jacuzzis, waterslides and sauna. There is a riverside beach close by and the site has a lively atmosphere in high season, when you can enjoy the extensive programme of entertainment organised by experienced animateurs. Local traffic may be heard. The rugged Ardèche provides plenty of outdoor sports, including rock-climbing, canoeing, pot holing and mountain biking. For those who want to enjoy the stunning scenery, the Pont d’Arc, a natural arc of rock carved out by the River Ardèche, is eight miles away, and the Ardèche Gorge is only a short drive away. | |||
| Les Tours | |||
| A top quality ‘Castels’ parc offering excellent amenities and enjoying an quite idyllic setting overlooking a beautiful lake. Les Tours is firmly established as a favourite with Eurocamp customers, and no wonder. All the facilities are to a very high standard and the swimming pool complex and ‘lazy river’ is particularly worthy of note. It’s an attractive parc too, with good-sized pitches laid-out on a series of terraces overlooking the gorgeous Lac de la Selves, which is a lovely spot for boating and swimming. Beyond Les Tours itself, you will find that you are superbly placed between the Auvergne and the Lot Valley. The enchanting town of Espalion is just 32km south, with its 13th century red sandstone bridge and charmingly small riverside château making it well worth a visit. | |||
| L'Ardéchois | |||
| A stunning parc offering truly excellent facilities, a wide range of family entertainment and a spectacular setting amidst the Ardèche gorges. L’Ardéchois is a superbly well-equipped parc situated alongside one of the loveliest stretches of the Ardèche river. This makes it a perfect spot for swimming and canoeing, not to mention the excursions through the magnificent gorges that are such a popular part of the parc’s activities. Within the parc itself, the impressive range of facilities includes an attractive pool complex and a poolside bar. To keep the whole family amused, an ‘animateur’ organises sports and entertainment from mid-June, including weekly discos which are held in the open-air or the bar. You are also just a short walk from Vallon Pont d’Arc, which is something of a focal point for tourists in this fascinating region. | |||
| Val de Cantobre | |||
| Set in a lofty and rugged location, this is a nature lover’s paradise, with amazing bird watching opportunities as well as a host of other activities. Spectacularly positioned in the Dourbie Valley between the Tarn Gorges and the Cévennes National Park, you are assured of a warm welcome at this exceptional ‘Castels’ parc. Access has never been easier due to the new Millau Viaduct. Though quite steep, the open terraced pitches offer fantastic views looking out over the nearby village of Cantobre which clings to the rock face. The parc offers many amenities, including a restaurant, bar and pizzeria housed in the medieval farm buildings at the bottom of the parc, and you also get lovely personal touches here, like the fresh bread and croissants delivered to you each morning. Yet the real beauty of Cantobre is the breadth of outdoor activities on offer. This is a Walking and Wildlife parc, see page 186/187 for details. | |||

| Domaine des Fumades is an attractive parc with excellent facilities and a wide range of family activities. Les Fumades also offers a host of sightseeing opportunities. Halfway between the Ardèche and the Mediterranean, in the southern part of the Massif Central, Les Fumades is justly popular with our customers. Part of the respected ‘Sites et Paysages’ chain, the parc is fairly quiet and offers absolutely first-class facilities. Some of them, including the excellent restaurant, are housed in the converted farm buildings which border the three lovely pools of the parc’s showpiece swimming complex. Activities and entertainment for all ages are arranged during July and August, but there is much to see and do beyond the parc too. Here, you are surrounded by fields of sunflowers and vineyards, and the whole Camargue is waiting to be discovered. | |||
