Holmsley sits to the South of the New Forest and offers families the chance to enjoy peaceful woodlands as well as the numerous sandy beaches that are close by.
Right on the edge of the New Forest, Holmsley is a spacious, grassy campsite, surrounded by seemingly endless woodland. Originally enclosed as a hunting ‘forêt’ by William the Conqueror, the New Forest is still Britain’s biggest ancient forest. Great oaks and beech trees make this an idyllically beautiful setting, and one that is further enhanced by the plentiful New Forest Ponies and fallow deer that still roam the woods here, and can be easily found, even without guidance from the campsite’s Ranger service. |
