Camping on Lake Maggiore! Music to the ears of many Italy lovers. Maccagno camp site is located by this popular lake on the eastern shores in lovely Lombardy. Its official name is Parkcamping Maccagno and that is no overstatement; the grounds are green and attractive. The pebbly beach is always a nice place to be and there are always surfers busy with their equipment. But even if you are not the sporty type you can simply enjoy the delights of the water or just lie on an airbed in the sun, or take a long evening walk on the footpath at the water's edge. The green mountains form a lovely backdrop and you will hear the rustle of palm leaves overhead. The camp site is quiet, reasonably level and the grounds are well maintained and have marked out pitches. Everyone will be entertained at this camp site in Italy which includes an espresso bar, playground, shop, various sports opportunities and entertainment in high season!

Villaggio International Eden is located on the popular western shores of Lake Garda. The camping grounds are located higher up the slope with views of the lake. You can reach the camp site's private beach by a set of steps, and here you can laze around and walk, possibly to the pleasure boat harbour. You can rent surfboards, sailing boats and water skis. You have a wonderful view of the lake from the slightly higher camp site which is divided into terraced, shady pitches. You might just settle for a sun lounger on the new lawn by the swimming pool with its water slide among the palms and mediterranean plants. The pool was recently enlarged with a new children's pool! There is a spectacular 50 metre slide at this camp site in Italy. The little ones will be kept occupied in the mini club, playground and cinema while you show the older children some of the things to do in the vicinity. And if they don't overdo it, maybe they can go to the nearby theme park or aqua park on another day, or to historic Verona or Milan. Even Venice is not so far away!

Rio Vantone camp site is located on Lake Idro just south of the beautiful Dolomites. Lake Idro with its fine shingle beaches and beautiful surroundings is not such a well known part of northern Italy's lake district. The lake is situated between its bigger brothers Garda and Como but is much more intimate. Lake Idro has the purest water and motor boats are not allowed to sail on it, giving swimmers and surfers all the room they need. The lovely camp site is situated by the water's edge on level grassland and partly against a hill, and has attractive marked out pitches. There is a shallow pool and a playground specially for the children. Fun activities are organised for all ages in high season.
