A long sheltered sandy beach and harbour is just 15 minutes' walk.
Field Lane offers a haven to those seeking a taste of restful village life. During the summer months the village green hosts leisurely cricket matches - perfect for a relaxing afternoon's entertainment. Or you might prefer a leisurely stroll picking damsons almonds and apples before enjoying some of the wonderful local produce and delicious seafood on offer at the wealth of tempting eateries nearby. Landguard is a beautifully kept holiday park boasting the Rose Award and the David Bellamy Gold Award for Conservation. There are spacious indoor and outdoor swimming pools and a licensed club with entertainment where your children are welcome with you all evening.
Shanklin a bustling Victorian town with good shopping and fine beaches is just half a mile away. Ventnor with its beautiful gardens and museum or Alum Bay with its fascinating coloured sands are both close by.
Due to car parking arrangements Landguard may not be suitable for wheelchair users or persons with mobility difficulties.
Landguard has a modern playground just for the under 12s special planned pool areas for paddling and splashing and children's entertainment in the club. For older children there is another play area whilst the swimming pools can be enjoyed by everyone.
Together with the superb range of facilities on the park you also enjoy use of the facilities at Lower Hyde including an indoor pool outdoor pool with flume and family entertainment.

Lower Hyde set on the edge of the bustling Victorian town of Shanklin is perfectly situated for exploring the numerous delights the Isle of Wight has to offer.
The park boasts a superb range of facilities. You can splash about in the fabulous heated outdoor pool relax in the indoor spa pool throw yourself into a host of activities on the all weather multi sports court or challenge the family to a game of pool. There's plenty to keep the kids happy with Sparky's Krew entertaining the youngsters and The Mix club offering teenagers the chance to meet new friends and take new challenges.
A choice of eating venues and a bar provide ideal ways to start the evening before enjoying the competitions cabarets shows and dancing on offer in the Showbar.
Due to steep gradients and steps Lower Hyde is not suitable for wheelchair users or persons with severe mobility difficulties.
Together with the superb range of facilities on the park you also enjoy use of the facilities at Landguard Holiday Park (p???) including indoor and outdoor pools. The Granary Restaurant and family entertainment.
